Site Description: Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1954 and was initially named Heilongjiang Provincial School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Later, it changed its name and was renamed Heilongjiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1959. In 1996, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and renamed as Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After more than half a century of construction and development, the school has become a high-level university of traditional Chinese medicine with high teaching, scientific research, and medical level, and has a certain influence both domestically and internationally. It is now a key high-level university under construction in Heilongjiang Province. In 2004, the school was among the first batch to obtain the excellent conclusions of the undergraduate teaching level assessment by the Ministry of Education. In 2007, the school was the first unit to pass the undergraduate professional certification of traditional Chinese medicine by the Ministry of Education. In 2008, it was identified as the construction unit of the national clinical research base of traditional Chinese medicine, and in 2009, it was promoted to the national exemplary organization of spiritual civilization construction.
